Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and independent individual to serve as the Compliance Coordinator in a fast-growing health care group in dermatology.

 

This position offers the opportunity to actively participate in shaping and executing key company policies to enable growth. This position would report to the Director of Compliance. Furthermore, this position would work closely with other departments, including Operations, and Revenue Cycle.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide general tactical and administrative support to the Compliance Department such as performing exclusion verification, tracking compliance projects to ensure timely follow up and developing dashboards.
  • Support the management of patient health records and files by assisting with the organization, security, and accessibility of paper and electronic patient data.
  • Perform research for compliance-related topics in the company.
  • Coordinate the company’s policies and procedures (P&P) management process including updating and disseminating P&Ps to APDerm employees.
  • Conduct monitoring activities relating to compliance initiatives.
  • Assist in conducting investigations relating to privacy events.
  • Support management of compliance vendors and data/reporting.
  • Assist in developing education and communications related to compliance matters.
  • Participate in other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field – Preferred
  • At least two years of experience working in healthcare

 

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:

  • Proficiency with (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Web-based applications, email, Sharepoint, Teams)
  • Exhibit a high energy level, and demonstrate the ability to work as a valuable contributor to the team, with flexibility in work habits
  • Reliability in meeting deadlines to meet the needs of the departments and company
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several ongoing projects
  • Demonstrate a professional and adaptable demeanor amongst other APDerm employees, including administrators, physicians, peers, and other support staff
  • Strong analytic, problem solving, and project management abilities
  • Must be a highly motivated candidate with the ability to work independently and in a highly fluid environment
