Overview

Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, the Clinical Site Coordinator (CSC) shall provide direct and indirect care to a specified group of patients in the dermatology healthcare setting. CSCs work in collaboration with the physician(s) or other health care provider(s) and other ambulatory support staff internally and externally to deliver quality patient care.

 

The CSC will work in a designated office and assist the Practice Manager with staffing and in-office needs.

 

Monday through Friday 8-5

Responsibilities

  • Fill in for staffing needs in designated office as needed (general dermatology and Mohs)
  • Act as the first level, “go to person” for the providers and staff regarding troubleshooting issues
  • Assess patient flow throughout the day in the office and assist as needed
  • Assist in the development, communication, and monitoring of new processes and quality assurance/improvement.
  • Assist the supervisor to ensure that all appropriate equipment is in good working order and ensure appropriate levels of supplies and inventory for office needs by utilizing the appropriate request system while understanding the importance of cost containment
  • Act as a trainer of new clinical staff in designated office
  • Ensure logs are filled out and up to date in designated office
  • Help to monitor high-cost materials in assigned office and help contain costs without affecting quality
  • Demonstrate superior communication skills

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant Certification Required
  • Minimum 5 years as an MA is required with Dermatology clinic experience a plus
  • Relationship management
  • Strategic planning

 

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:

  • Infectious control, HIPAA, and OSHA knowledge is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required to communicate with patients, family members, physicians, and other health care providers, as well as other colleagues in a positive, professional manner.
  • Possesses and displays knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Must possess strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to ensure patient’s needs are met.
  • Must possess excellent computer skills to input and retrieve clinical information.
  • Utilize critical thinking and good judgment in performance of tasks.
  • Must possess organizational skills and can multitask.
  • Must be able to prioritize daily assignment to ensure smooth workflow.
